How to Do it...
If you have already registered your player for the season and would like to update or add a buddy request, you can do this through your LNYSA account.
Go to www.lnysa.org and click LogIn in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Enter your login credentials.
Once you are logged in, find your player’s name and click the pencil icon next to their name. Under your player’s name, date of birth, and ID number, you should see the season they are registered for.
Scroll down past the player information and address information until you reach the Season Application Information section, such as 2026 Fall Recreational Soccer.
Continue scrolling until you see the question about your player’s school grade in the fall. Near that section, you will see a question called “Preferred teammate’s first name and last name.”
Enter the first and last name of the teammate you would like to request. You may enter up to three preferred teammates. You may also enter a preferred coach request, if you have one.
Before team formation begins, LNYSA will do its best to match buddy and coach requests as part of the team formation process. Once team formation has started, new or updated requests may not be considered because teams may already have been created based on the information submitted at the time.
Please remember to click Save when you are finished. This will update the information on your player’s seasonal application.
