Learn How to Become an Assistant Referee
Interested in learning more about the game and supporting LNYSA in a meaningful way? Each season, parents, players, and volunteers step onto the field as Assistant Referees (ARs)—and many quickly become confident contributors to match day success.
Most volunteers begin by attending LNYSA’s one-hour, on-field Assistant Referee training class. It is simple, approachable, and a great way to get involved.

Player parents: Serving as an Assistant Referee during games this season can fulfill your volunteer commitment within our community-supported organization.
