It was very busy on Saturday November 6th at Chapparosa Park in Laguna Niguel as the host site for the Annual LNYSA Fall Festival. An event we have run for nearly 10 years.  To get an idea of what the event is like watch this short overview.

Set up for the event started at around 6AM with the first volunteers arriving shortly thereafter. We are remarkably lucky in Laguna Niguel to have access to such a dedicated group of volunteers. In total over 110 volunteers worked the day to ensure everything  ran well - from the games starting on time to the fields prepared properly with goals & lines set, to lighting the barbecue and cooking a thousand hotdogs and burgers!

At 8 o’clock the first player started arriving to prepare for their games of the morning these were the 3-5 year olds with smiling faces and cheeky grins preparing to enter the main soccer field , marked into 10 micro fields so 10 small sided games could run simultaneously.   As soon as these games were complete the U6, U7 and U8 Divisions started their games. 10 o’clock arrived quickly and so did the first crowds looking around surveying which carnival games they wished to play, which inflatables they wished to attack or what to order at our BBQ pit of 3 industrial sized fires setup to cater for the thousand plus visitors! 11 o"clock arrived,  most of the games had finished.  The crowds descended on the festival area creating an electric atmosphere,  the music was pumping and DJ Justin had a group of kids following his moves as he led them through a series of great songs.

It must be said the fall festival is one of the funnest days of the year seeing the 5 to 8 year olds end their Fall Season at a great celebratory event,  enjoy everything the festival had to offer with painted faces and ketchup stained T-shirts running from inflatable to inflatable to the beat of the music playing in the background.
