A Player Development Focus

“LNYSA believes in a true player development pathway so we want to ensure that every player has the opportunity to play at their best. Our series of Skills Clinics and GoalKeeper focused training sessions offer access to quality training that your player can then take home and practice.”

LNYSA has been providing soccer programs designed to develop skills, build confidence, teamwork, self-esteem, and leadership for over a decade. As Laguna Niguel’s top youth soccer league, LNYSA proudly supports players across three levels of play—Recreational, Select, and Club through Laguna United FC.

Built Into the LNYSA Pathway

Our programs support a player-centric development pathway that allows players to participate at different levels of play based on their needs and abilities.

Skills Clinics, goalkeeper-focused sessions, camps, and seasonal training opportunities are all designed to further individual development and help players continue improving outside of games.

Special GoalKeeper Clinics

Special Thursday Goalkeeper Clinic

Three exclusive goalkeeper training sessions designed to help young keepers build technique, confidence, and composure.

Why Goalkeepers Need Special Training

Behind every great soccer team is a confident goalkeeper—the player trusted to protect the goal, organize the defense, and make the saves that change games.

Goalkeeping is one of the most demanding positions on the field. It requires focus, courage, technique, and quick decision-making, often under pressure.

Because of these unique demands, goalkeepers benefit from specialized training that is built specifically for their role. That is why LNYSA is offering a Special Thursday Goalkeeper Clinic just for players who want to learn, grow, and feel more confident in goal.

What This Clinic Focuses On

  • Proper goalkeeping technique and fundamentals
  • Shot stopping, positioning, and ball handling
  • Footwork, balance, and quick reactions
  • Building confidence and composure in game situations
  • Learning to enjoy and embrace the goalkeeper role

These sessions are designed to be age-appropriate, positive, and engaging, helping goalkeepers improve while still having fun.
