Information about the LNYSA Spring Season

LNYSA offers various Spring Season Programs tailored for player age and abilities:

2014 and 2013 “Mini-Kickers”– A great introduction to soccer with the emphasis on FUN, with Saturday games and festivities. Players are assigned to a team at each session day and play fun soccer games and a scrimmage at the end.

2012 (U6)  and 2011 (U7) Soccer Academy- Modeled after European “Academy” programs, it offers skill sessions once a week and Jamboree style games played on Saturdays. It will be directed by our Club professional coaches with assistance of recreational coaches.

2010 (U8) Champions’ League– Players will be assigned to a set team and play 5v5 with a goalkeeper on Saturdays. Skills clinics will be run for the whole age group once a week and under the direction of Club professional coaches with the assistance of team coaches.

2009-2008 (Under 10)Players will be assign to a team with a maximum roster of eleven (11) and play 7v7 with a goalkeeper in a local game circuit. In addition to the games, one skills session will be offered by Club professional coaches and with the assistance of team coaches. Also, one team practice will be held by the team coach during the week. Teams in these divisions will be balanced teams, with the roster selected through a player balancing draft to be conducted in late January.

2007-2006 (Under 12)- Players will be assign to a team with a maximum roster of thirteen (13) and play 9v9 with a goalkeeper in a local game circuit. One team practice will be held by the team coach during the week. In addition, one skills session will be offered by Club professional coaches and with the assistance of team coaches. Teams in these divisions will be balanced teams, with the roster selected through a player balancing draft to be conducted in late January.

2005-2004 (Under 14) –  Two options may apply for U14 based upon team counts in this Division.  All teams may play in the local circuit, with all games in Laguna Niguel, or the teams may play in a travel circuit, with half the games in Laguna Niguel and the other half at cities in Orange County.  A decision will be made by Division Director at the end of January.

2003-2002 and 1999-2001 (U16 and U19) – Teams will play in the NOCIL Travel Circuit.

Signature Travel Team Circuit – for Fall “Signature” teams playing in the CAL SOUTH Spring League: with two local practices per week, 8-10 games with approximately 50% of the weekend matches played in Laguna Niguel and 50% played in other Orange County cities. Spring season fees for the “U9 – U14 Signature Division” program will be as per the fees listed above. Teams will pay referees at each game. Signature teams will be coach selected; there are no tryouts for Spring Signature teams.

All Players will receive a uniform from the League, delivered in late February.  Players need to already own or purchase cleats, shin guards and a ball to play in these programs.

For ages 1999 through 2010 additional referee fees will apply.
