Announcing LNYSA’s 2015 Spring Programs

Here is the exciting line up for our Spring soccer programs:

  • Mini-kickers for our U4 and U5 players in a fun jamboree style once a week; Special themed uniforms included.
  • U6/U7 Fantastic 4 Players will also be invited to attend Academy once a week – skill sessions coached by National licensed coaches, club coaches and club players
  • U8 League Play – U8 players will move up from Fan 4 and will have their own league, each player will be on a team and will play small sided games. U8 players will also be able to attend Academy once a week.
  • Local Recreation League: U8 through U14 – will play in Laguna Niguel in our local recreational league.
  • U10/U12 Academy: U10 and U12 Players can attend an optional skills Academy coached by professional coaches with a small player-to-coach ratio (additional fee applies).
  • All Players will receive a special themed uniform from the League, delivered in late February.  Players need to already own or purchase cleats, shin guards and a ball to play in these programs.

Fees for Spring 2015:

  • Mini-kickers (U4/U5) – $70
  • U6/U7 – $95
  • U8 – $105
  • U10 – $125

  • U16/19* – $135

Important Dates:

  • December 10 – Registration opens
  • Saturday, January 24, 2015 – 10am to 2pm – LNYSA Walk-in Registration & Camp – La Paz Park
  • Sunday, January 18, 2015 @ 8PM – Registration Deadline for U8 through U19
  • Sunday January 18, 2015 – Signature Rosters Due – Any player registered after January 19 will play in recreational circuit
  • U8-U19 Player Registration after January 26 will be charged a LATE BIRD FEE of $50.  Registration will close for these age groups on January 27, 2014
  • Thursday January 29. Mandatory Coaches’ Meeting and Team Formation/Draft – ALL COACHES MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING OR THEY WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED PRACTICE FIELDS
  • Monday February 16 – First day of Spring Practice
  • TBC – YM1 & YM3 Coach Training Class @ Crown Valley Community Center
  • March 7 – Signature and U14, U16/U19 Travel Team play begins
  • March 7 – Mini-kicker, Fan4, U8, U10, U12 play begins
  • April 5  – Easter – No games (CVUSD Spring Break is April 6 to April 10 – No School)
  • May 9 – Last Day of Regular Season Play
  • May 16, 17  – LNYSA Spring Tournament – Local Play Circuits (No play on May 10 – Mothers Day)

If you wait, you may not play! We offer open registration on a first come, first served basis. LNYSA  will make every effort to place all interested players registered before the January 18, 2014 deadline on teams, providing we have enough volunteer coaches and referees. Priority will be given to families who fulfilled their volunteer commitment in Fall 2014.  All registration will be done online or at our single walk-in registration & Camp to be held Saturday 24th, from 10am to 2pm at Crown Valley Lower Field. ALL U8-U14 PLAYERS MUST REGISTER BEFORE THE JANUARY 18 DEADLINE.  U8-U19 Players registering after JANUARY 26 will be charged a LATE BIRD FEE of $50.

Registrations for mini-kickers and Fan4 players ONLY will be accepted until the first week of play.

About the LNYSA Spring Season

LNYSA offers various Spring Season Programs tailored for player age and abilities:

U5 “Mini-Kickers”– A great introduction to soccer with the emphasis on FUN, with Saturday games and festivities. Spring season fees for the “Mini Kicker” program will be $70.00 per player.

U6-U7 “Fantastic 4v4” – Modeled after European “Academy” programs, Fantastic 4v4 offers supervised pick-up games played on Saturdays.  New this year will be a structured Academy for Fan 4 players run by professional soccer trainers and advanced coaches in addition to Saturday play.  Spring season fees for the “Fantastic 4v4” program will be $95.00 per player. U8 Champions’ League– Coached teams emphasizing small-sided games and skills development.  Games will be played on Saturdays, one optional practice a week and Academy run by professional soccer trainers and advanced coaches one day per week. Cost per player is will be $105.00.

U9/U10 & U12 Local Recreational Division – LNYSA will offer local recreational league play in the U10 (U9&U10 combined for Spring Play) and U12 age groups. They will play ALL of their games in Laguna Niguel. Teams in these divisions will hold one or two practices per week, with games on Saturdays. An occasional Sunday game will be scheduled only if absolutely necessary. The games will be played from March 8th through May 10th, concluding with a “Spring Tournament.”  Spring season fees for the “U10 & U12 Local Recreational Division” program will be $125.00 per player.  These fees include the cost of the player kits for this division, consisting of one pair of shorts, one pair of socks, and a game jersey for each player. Teams in these divisions will be balanced teams, with the roster selected through a player balancing draft to be conducted in late January.

U14 Division –  Two options may apply for U14 based upon team counts in this Division.  All teams may play in the local circuit, with all games in Laguna Niguel, or the teams may play in a travel circuit, with half the games in Laguna Niguel and the other half at cities in Orange County.  A decision will be made on this at the end of January.  Fees for U14 will be $130 per player.

U16/U19 Division – Play in the NOCIL Travel Circuit, $135 per player.

U9-U15 Signature Travel Team Circuit – for Fall “Signature” teams playing in the CAL SOUTH Spring League: with two local practices per week, 8-10 games with approximately 50% of the weekend matches played in Laguna Niguel and 50% played in other Orange County cities. Spring season fees for the “U9 – U14 Signature Division” program will be $120.00 per player. Teams will pay referees at each game.  Signature teams will be coach selected; there are no tryouts for Spring Signature teams.

U10 and U12 Academy: Players can also sign up for advanced skills training at a once weekly Academy starting March 17.  Six sessions, $75 per player.  Ratio of coach to player will not exceed 1:12
