Fan4 Spring 2016 Season Update

Fan4pic
The Fan4 Program (U6-U7)  is for players that are Under 6 and Under 7 years of age. The Program runs each Spring Season. Fan 4 creates a player-centric environment without pressure from significant others (coaches, parents), where children can play soccer on their own terms, enjoy themselves more, be more creative, and experiment, while at the same time getting more touches.

– Here is a recap of the information you will need for a successful season in the Fan4 Program .

SEASON INFORMATION

  • Our season will start on Sat. March 5 and end on Sat. May 7th. There will be no games played on April 2 for Easter.
  • Uniform Pick-up: March 2 (Wednesday), 7:00 pm, Yosemite Room, Sea Country Community Center (24602 Aliso Creek Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677)
  • Coaches/Helpers Mandatory Meeting: March 2 (Wednesday), 7:00 pm, Yosemite Room, Sea Country Community Center (24602 Aliso Creek Rd, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677)
  • The Fan4 Friday Academy sessions will start on March 25 (Friday) for 6 weeks at Crown Valley Lower – These are optional free training sessions focused on skills development to help the players with first touch, kicking, trapping, positioning. These 1-hr sessions during the week will run on the dates and times shown below
  • On Saturday, March 26th, the Program will be at Crown Valley Lower field (a one- off field change)
  • We will be playing at Chapparosa Park this spring. The field(s) is located on Chapparosa Park Road.
    • The session for U6 players starts promptly at  9:45am – 11:00am
    • The session for U7 players starts promptly at 11:15am – 12:30pm
    • Academy Sessions at Crown Valley Lower:
Boys and Girls – Fridays (March 25 to April 29), 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Crown Valley Lower
  • Program coordinators are asked to get to the field 15 minutes prior to the start of the Saturday sessions.
  • There are no set teams or assigned coaches in Fan4 but we use coaches and coordinators to assist in running the sessions with a focus on skills development and fun!
  • Please be courteous. Our Saturday sessions run for 75 minutes. We will start on time, so don’t be late. We will also end on time so that the next session can get set up and start on time. There are games on the field after our sessions, so we need to be off the field so the next group can play.
  • Remember, a parent or responsible adult IS REQUIRED to stay during the session. You can not drop off your player and return when the session is over.
  • If it is ever raining on a Saturday morning, you will need to call the city Mudline at (949) 362-4351 ext 3. The city decides if fields are open or closed. Our field is a grass/natural field.  If the fields are open, we WILL play soccer, even if it is a little drizzly.  If the fields are closed, we will not play soccer that week. Unfortunately, due to field scheduling, there are no makeups for missed games.
  • Your child MUST have shin-guards to play. They will not be allowed on the field without them. Your player will also need to bring a size 3 ball with them each week. Your child can wear tennis shoes or  soccer cleats (not baseball).
  • Make sure your child has a good breakfast so they have plenty of energy for soccer. You will also need to bring WATER for your player and a snack if they need it. Also, do not forget the sunscreen.
  • CalSouth has a no jewelry policy for all players. This includes tape or bandaids over earrings. This is not allowed.  It can cause injuries or get lost.
  • Litter at the field is a PROBLEM.  Please pick up all litter and please do not leave it on the fields but place it in the various bins at the field.
  • Please NO DOGS on the field. Some children are allergic and others are scared, no matter how friendly you think your dog is. You can walk your Dogs around the Park but stay off the field area.
  • Parking is plentiful at the field.

Thank you so much and I look forward to a great season. Please let me know if you have any questions.

No Late Sign-ups! – Due to limited availability, we are no longer able to accommodate late sign-ups for our Spring Fan4 Program. Please check here again for future Fan4 Programs.
