LNYSA 2017 Spring Programs – REGISTRATION OPEN!

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON FEBRUARY 11th (Except Mini-Kickers and U6/U7)

Welcome to LNYSA Spring Soccer!  We have some new exciting programs for younger age groups and league games for age groups U8 to U19 (per the US Youth Soccer Guidelines). Also, Skills Clinics run by LUFC (Club) coaches will be available to U6 to U12 age groups to assist with soccer development.

Fees for Spring 2017 (no increase from last year!):

  • Mini-kickers (U4/U5) – $70
  • U6/U7 – $95
  • U8 – $105
  • U10 – $125
  • U12 – $125
  • U14 – $130
  • U16/19 – $135
  • U10/U12 Academy – $75

Late fees will apply after January 25, January 31, 2017.

Important Dates:

  • December 10, 2016 – Registration opens
  • January 24, 2017 (Monday) – Signature Rosters Due – Any player registered after January 31 will play in recreational circuit
  • January 31, 2017  – Registration Deadline for U8 through U19
  • U8-U19 Player Registration after January 25 January 31 will be charged a LATE BIRD FEE of $50.  Registration will close for these age groups on February 11, 2017.
  • February 6, 2017 (Monday) at 6:30 pm (Laguna Niguel City Hall) -Mandatory Coaches’ Meeting about the Season and Teams Formation – ALL COACHES MUST ATTEND THIS MEETING OR THEY WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED PRACTICE FIELDS
  • February 20, 2017 (Monday) – First day of Spring Practice
  • TBC – Coach Training Class @ Crown Valley Community Center
  • TBC – Ref Training Class @ Crown Valley Community Center
  • March 4, 2017 (Saturday) – Season Games Start
  • April 8, 2017 (Saturday) No Games Scheduled – Spring Break
  • May 6,  2017 (Saturday) – Last Day of Regular Season Play (Most Age groups)
  • May 6 & May 13, 2017 (Saturdays)  – LNYSA Spring Tournament

If you wait, you may not play! We offer open registration on a first come, first served basis. LNYSA  will make every effort to place all interested players registered before the January 25 January 31 deadline on teams, providing we have enough volunteer coaches and referees. Priority will be given to families who fulfilled their volunteer commitment in Fall 2015.  All registration will be done online. ALL U8-U14 PLAYERS MUST REGISTER BEFORE THE JANUARY 25 JANUARY 31 DEADLINE.  U8-U19 Players registering after JANUARY 25  JANUARY 31 will be charged a LATE FEE of $50.

Registrations for Mini-kickers and U6-U7 players ONLY will be accepted until the first week of play.

Information about the LNYSA Spring Season

LNYSA offers various Spring Season Programs tailored for player age and abilities:

2012 (U5 )”Mini-Kickers”– A great introduction to soccer with the emphasis on FUN, with Saturday games and festivities. Players are assigned to a team at each session day and play fun soccer games and a scrimmage at the end.

2011 (U6)  and 2010 (U7) Soccer Academy- Modeled after European “Academy” programs, it offers skill sessions once a week and Jamboree style games played on Saturdays. It will be directed by our Club professional coaches with assistance of recreational coaches.

2009 (U8) Champions’ League– Players will be assigned to a set team and play 5v5 with a goalkeeper on Saturdays. Skills clinics will be run for the whole age group once a week and under the direction of Club professional coaches with the assistance of team coaches.

2008-2007 (Under 10)Players will be assign to a team with a maximum roster of eleven (11) and play 7v7 with a goalkeeper in a local game circuit. In addition to the games, one skills session will be offered by Club professional coaches and with the assistance of team coaches. Also, one team practice will be held by the team coach during the week. Teams in these divisions will be balanced teams, with the roster selected through a player balancing draft to be conducted in late January.

2005-2006 (Under 12)- Players will be assign to a team with a maximum roster of thirteen (13) and play 9v9 with a goalkeeper in a local game circuit. One team practice will be held by the team coach during the week. In addition, one skills session will be offered by Club professional coaches and with the assistance of team coaches. Teams in these divisions will be balanced teams, with the roster selected through a player balancing draft to be conducted in late January.

2003-2004 (Under 14) –  Two options may apply for U14 based upon team counts in this Division.  All teams may play in the local circuit, with all games in Laguna Niguel, or the teams may play in a travel circuit, with half the games in Laguna Niguel and the other half at cities in Orange County.  A decision will be made by Division Director at the end of January.

2001-2002 and 1998-2000 (U16 and U19) – Teams will play in the NOCIL Travel Circuit.

Signature Travel Team Circuit – for Fall “Signature” teams playing in the CAL SOUTH Spring League: with two local practices per week, 8-10 games with approximately 50% of the weekend matches played in Laguna Niguel and 50% played in other Orange County cities. Spring season fees for the “U9 – U14 Signature Division” program will be as per the fees listed above. Teams will pay referees at each game. Signature teams will be coach selected; there are no tryouts for Spring Signature teams.

LNYSA TOPSoccer: Fall ONLY program

All Players will receive a uniform from the League, delivered in late February.  Players need to already own or purchase cleats, shin guards and a ball to play in these programs.
