The LNYSA Thursday Night Pick-up games are free to all registered LNYSA Players. The games will start on July 7th and continue until August 4th. The purpose of the games is for the kids to enjoy the game with their frends just like the way we played the game in the 70s/80s!!
The program is limited to current players that are registered with LNYSA in the Fall 2011 Season. Each player will need to sign in (at the field) & complete a player waiver form and hand it to the pick-up game coordinator.
The games will run for roughly 50 minutes. Teams will be selected at the start of each session so please arrive 5 minutes before the start of each weekly session. Each player will pick a color pinny. The pick-up game co-ordinator will start the game and supervise play to maintain a safe environment for the players. The games will run each Thursday for 5 weeks over the summer. If you have any questions please email the pick-up game coordinators listed below:

Each Player must complete the Player Interest form Each player must complete a player waiver form to participate in the games. (hand in at the first session) Each player must sign-in prior to each session at the field Each player must be signed up to participate in the Fall 2011 Season
Some may be asking, what is a pick-up game? Our definition of a pick-up game is a spontaneous game between 2 teams. The teams are not pre-set teams. A variety of methods will be used to help pick the teams based upon who is there at the start of the session. Captains may be elected to pick teams, or players may be counted off with the Ones playing the Twos. One or both teams will wear colored pinnies. The objective is to keep LNYSA players touching a soccer ball during the off Season and helping them develop their touch and control on the field through playing the beautiful game of soccer! The game is the best teacher. Thanks Patrick Cahillane
