LNYSA Player Pick Up Games PDF Print E-mail

LNYSA_Pick-Up_GameslowResLNYSA is starting a pilot program during the Summer for a few age groups.  The LNYSA summer pick-up games will run for up to 8 weeks. The purpose of the games will be to keep the kids involved in soccer over the summer. The program is limited to current players that were registered with LNYSA in either the Fall 2009 or Spring 2010 Seasons or have registered for the Fall 2010 Season.  Each player will need to sign in & complete a player waiver form and hand it to the pick-up game coordinator when they arrive at the field.

The games will run for roughly 50 minutes. Teams will be selected at the start of each session so please arrive 5 minutes before the start of each weekly session. Each player will pick a color pinny.  The pick-up game co-ordinator will start the game and supervise play to maintain a safe environment for the players. The games will run weekly as per the information below. The sessions will start the week of June 7th 2010. If you have any questions please email the pick-up game coordinators listed below:

Some may be asking, what is a pick-up game?
Our definition of a pick-up game is a spontaneous game between 2 teams. The teams are not pre-set teams. A variety of methods will be used to help pick the teams based upon who is there at the start of the session. Captains may be elected to pick teams, or players may be counted off with the Ones playing the Twos. One or both teams will wear colored pinnies. The objective is to keep LNYSA players touching a soccer ball during the off Season and helping them develop their touch and control on the field through playing the beautiful game of soccer! The game is the best teacher.

Spring Season Standings & Tournament Placement PDF Print E-mail

Coaches , Players , Parents and Refs

We are approaching the last weekend of Spring soccer for the Recreational U10, U12 and BU14 Divisions.  The final games of the Season will be played on May 15th/16th at the LNYSA Spring Classic Tournament.  Once we have posted all the scores from this weekend, please review the Season Standings to determine your team's games next weekend. We are delighted that over 1000 players were on fields with us this Spring, the largest number of players ever seen in Laguna Niguel during a Spring Season.  We would like to thank you all for making the Season a fun and enjoyable time but also really thank the Coaches and Referees who put in many hours during the Season to make it all work!  We could not operate without them so when you see them this weekend please walk up and say "thank you"

Remember, to enjoy the last weekend of soccer and we look forward to seeing you at our Camps over the summer or at the first Fall practices, starting the week of August 16th.  Remember our last Fall Walk-in Registration is June 3rd!

“Wednesday Night Volunteer Soccer Game – Crown Valley Lower Field – Every Wednesday!

There is still lots of room at the Wednesday Night Volunteer Soccer game for beginners and intermediate players alike, so come on out!.  The game is very informal.  We just have a ton of fun and at the same time learn about the game of soccer from inside the lines.   If you are spending hours at the gym every week, forget that and instead come out and play soccer for an hour with friends.  We have a great time and get an incredible workout.  Everyone gets an opportunity to play all the positions and even hacks like me get a chance to score a few goals.

Any questions, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Hope to see you out there!”
