Fall Soccer 2016 – LNYSA Programs and Overview

IMGP1359Welcome to Laguna Niguel Youth Soccer Association´s Fall 2016 Season.
Fall season play will begin Saturday, September 10

Laguna Niguel’s largest sports organization is gearing up for another season.  Register now to guarantee a spot on a team for your player!   The following article offers some information about the upcoming Fall soccer season.

Registration for Fall 2016 is Open

If you have questions about the season and they are not answered here, please review our Parent FAQ sections.  If you still have questions, then review our Division Directors list and email the specific program director for help.  Every age group plays in the Fall Season from U5 to U19. We also support Player Academies, Allstar, Signature and Club programs. The Signature program plays in a local circuit managed by Calsouth; tryouts for Signature begin on April 24th. The club program runs under our competitive soccer brand, Laguna United and plays in the Southern California Development Soccer League.

IMPORTANT: The division that players are assigned has changed per US Soccer Guidelines.  Starting this year and next year, players will be assigned to Age Groups based on the calendar year of the player’s birth, rather than the old system of an August 1 cut off date.  Please check the Division Director guide to see which division your player will be assigned.

Age Groups U8 through U19 – Teams will be formed in early August and players should hear from coaches by the second week of August. Practices will begin approximately August 15. The coach will tell you the practice times and fields.

Age Groups U6 and U7 – Teams will be formed in mid-August and players should hear from coaches by the end of August.  Coaches will let you know about a pre-season team meeting to distribute uniforms and get to know each other on the team.

Mini-kickers (U5) – The program coordinator will notify you concerning a parent meeting for collecting uniforms.  That meeting will occur in late August.

To determine which age group your child will play in, please review the age matrix.
(Note: As per Cal South and US Soccer guidelines we will focus on calendar year registration based on the Birth Year, rather than the competition year, for the 2016-2017 season.)
